Children are the most valuable asset in any society. This simple truth is well known at the Caritas Kolomyya-Chernivtsi Eparchy. For more than 5 years they have been running a project aimed at helping the children of labour migrants and those children who have found themselves in difficult situations.
The main goal of the project is to provide the children with psycho-emotional, moral and ethical support. In the summer, the most effective way to achieve these goals is to bring these children closer to nature. Recently they spent time in Sheshory (Ivano-Frankivs’k region), a picturesque resort area in the Carpathian Mountains. The hills of Sheshory are covered in evergreen and birch forests; there are blueberries, blackberries and raspberry bushes. The mountain stream that courses through the village has several waterfalls but the water in the stream is nonetheless quite warm.
