Charity foundation “Caritas Kyiv” together with «KCCF «Foodbank», “METRO Cash and Carry Ukraine”, “Craftfoods Ukraine” and other companies lent a helping hand to people in need on the occasion of World food day (October 16) and Day of food industry workers.
In particular, the following things were done:
1) lunch and dinner were organized for children from large, poverty-stricken and crisis families; half-orphans and children with disabilities in number of 80 people;
2) in total 20 street children and youngsters were taken for lunch and dinner;
3) 30 food packages were distributed among lonely physically challenged senior citizens people, and 30 food packages – for poor single-parent families .
World food day was established by UNO in 1945.
