Pilgrims from Caritas Complete Annual Pilgrimage to Zarvanytsya

The faithful say that whoever makes a walking pilgrimage to the holy site of Zarvanytsya returns every year. Clients of the Caritas Kolomyya-Chernivtsi eparchy feel the same way. This year 9 children from Caritas’s Social Centre made the 100 kilometre pilgrimage.

Pilgrims carried only the basics—a mat, sleeping bag, groceries and some basic personal items—but nonetheless they carried approximately 10 kg. The most important thing they took with them was their faith which helped them get to Zarvanytsya. During the trip they prayed and sang religious songs.

Step by step, children and adults conquered the kilometres. They walked for 3 days.
