Everyone Needs Information n on Tuberculosis!

Caritas Brody (L’viv region) together with the Brody District Social Services Centre for Families, Children and Youth held a series of events to inform the public about tuberculosis. “Tuberculosis is much talked about in the press and on television but young people know very little about it,” say medical personnel and employees of the local Caritas. This is why a comprehensive seminar on TB was offered for the adolescent clients of the One Hundred Talents studio which is run as part of the Psycho-Social Support for Children of Labour Migrants project.

The World Health Organization (WHO) designated 24 March as World TB Day; it marks the day in 1882 when German physician Dr. Robert Koch presented his discovery of the bacteria that causes TB.
