Caritas Odesa Held a Camp in Transcarpathia for Children from Crisis Families

On the eve of a new school year Caritas Odesa organized a camp in Transcarpathia for 25 children and mothers. They spent a week in the Transcarpathian village of Shayan located near the city of Khust.

“The goal was to give kids a chance to relax before the start of the new school year,” said Tetyana Tkach, social worker at Caritas Odesa. “Clean mountain air, Shayan mineral water, delicious Transcarpathian dishes and an organized day—all this had a positive impact on the campers. Their family members noted that they had gained weight looked happier and healthier and rambled on about a slew of good memories when they got home.”
