Since October 2011 Caritas Ukraine has been implementing project on rendering assistance to children with oncological diseases. Ukrainian Catholic Church of Australia turned to be donor of this project. For January 20, 2013 the budget of the project comprised more than 1,545 million UAH, aid provided for nearly 35 children.
In compliance with data of World Health Organization and National Cancer Institute for the last hundred years oncopathology moved from ninth place to the second by the level of morbidity and mortality, giving way to cardio-vascular diseases.
In comparison with rate of 2007, cancer mortality will increase for 45% by 2030. Ukraine takes the second place in Europe for dissemination of the disease.
