A “Home Care: current situation, needs and perspectives” festive academy was held in Odesa and was dedicated to the 10th anniversary of Charitable foundation “Caritas Odesa of the UGCC” work.
Fr. Vasyl Kolodchyn, Director of Caritas Odesa of the UGCC, pointed out that “Home Care” program is a very important field of activity for everyone in Caritas Odesa that helps all of us to remember about our real mission, our service to people.
Caritas Odesa “Home Care” workers have been providing help to the needful for 10 years – bodily care, medical services, help with household things, solving legal issues, organization of leisure, psychological follow-up etc.
“Caritas in Odesa is a unique Caritas – very dynamic and always ready to look for partners and friends to move forward and work efficiently,” noted in his greeting speech Caritas Ukraine President Andrij Waskowycz. He mentioned that Caritas Odesa team can always identify needs, see a further perspective and solve problems. “This Caritas shows impressing results and can be an example for all of us,” he added.
“Caritas Odesa of the UGCC” charitable foundation was registered and began its operations in 2005. It is a part of the International Charitable Foundation “Caritas Ukraine” – the biggest non-governmental charitable organization in Ukraine that is involved in work on social protection and health care of population.
