Caritas Brings Holiday Cheer to Disadvantaged Children

Caritas Brody (L’viv Region) created some holiday cheer by organizing a celebration called St. Nicholas Loves Children at the local Shalena Shkvarka restaurant.

Over 100 children between the ages of 4 and 15 attended. The majority of attendees were children, who have at least one parent working abroad, altar boys from the local Greek Catholic Church, students of the catechism school, orphans, children who have lost one parent, and children from multi-child families.

F. Yaroslav Tsaryk, Director of Caritas Brody started the celebration with a prayer. He wished everyone a happy holiday season and told interesting stories about St. Nicholas and Jesus Christ.
