The tradition to organize Good Deeds Day was originated in Israel in 2007 on the initiative of businesswoman and philanthropist, Shari Arison with support of Ruach Tova (NGO). The meaning of the initiative is to turn people’s attention to the world around, to individuals who need their assistance and support.

Involvement of young generation in voluntary activities is an objective that is followed by employees of Home Care project in Caritas Kolomyia-Chernivtsi Eparchy. The leading aim of the project is to improve the living standards of isolated seniors. Furthermore, the project is targeted to get recognition from the state and enrolment of wider circle of people – family members, social services workers, neighbors and simply concerned individuals. Not only are the problems of seniors in focus, but their individualities and living environment.
