In Ternopil Caritas clients from crisis families became volunteers for other families in need

December is outstandingly loaded with holidays. It is a good tradition to spend some of them exclusively with family. But, for example, it is more interesting to celebrate St. Andrew’s Day in circle of friends, where perhaps not all people know each other, but cheerful games provide opportunity to get to know and learn more about each other.

This was one of reasons why team of All-Ukrainian project Mobile Work with Youth of Caritas Ternopil organized celebration for children and their parents. Grown-ups made varenyky (dumplings) and children arranged contests. Along toward evening everybody gathered at festive table to start dinner with grateful prayer. Afterwards, all together enjoyed themselves, ate and sang Ukrainian folk songs. Celebration brought genuine pleasure for both initiators and participants.
