Children form Caritas Kyiv Watched a Documentary

The summer of 2012 gave Caritas Kyiv the wonderful opportunity to meet volunteers from the young and inventive charitable organizations Velvet Hearts.

Velvet Hearts joined forces with the Kyiv planetarium Atmasfera 360° to bring over 30 children from multi-child and disadvantaged families to the planetarium’s cinema.

The first film shown was Natural Selection, a well known documentary about Charles Darwin’s theory of natural selection; several years ago the theory celebrated its 150th anniversary.

“Although not all of Caritas’s clients were of an age that allowed them to understand the scientific foundation of the film, all of them were in awe of the dome shaped screen at the planetarium.
